Open Oven, Insert Head

I was never that crazy about Daschle. But, dear God, anyone, anyone but Mitt Romney. He completely fucked up our health care system here in Massachusetts. What we have here is a free market wet dream in which health care is neither affordable nor optional.

If Obama's stupid enough to make that grifter our HHS Secretary, I'm moving to Paraguay.

Uhhhh, Mr. Pork?? Where in Ms. Tumulty's idiotic little missive, or elsewhere for that matter, do you find evidence of President Obama actually giving consideration to any such nonsense???

Well, Howard Dean is a medical doctor.

Drbop: Don't ever underestimate how far Obama's willing to stretch in the interests of bipartisanship.

Aonymous @ 12:07 p.m. who's spruiking Argentina -- have you ever read the blog by this smart Argentine survivalist? He doesn't have many good things to say about the Argy medical system, unless you have lots of money. (The blog is an interesting read for what it portends about a potential breakdown of U.S. society, BTW.)

And Nunz, I know Thom Hartmann has been pushing the idea of Dean as HHS Sec'y on his radio show. That would make sense IF the Democratic Party was an actual progressive political organisation. If, however, they are a sham opposition under the sponsorship of the Forces of Corporate Greed, then they won't go for someone who might shake things up. Can't have people from the "angry Left" in there. Better some bland drone who won't upset the insurance companies and their valuable campaign bribe-tributions.

Obama's "in the interests of bipartisanship"

Is ominously sounding like Nixon's "The dream of peace".....

Ever get the feeling you've been cheated?

That should read Nixon's "The dream for peace".
