GI Joe Boxer

God bless this guy, who was singled out for attention by Defense Secretary Robert Gates. This was taken in Afghanistan and when his unit was attacked, this soldier, 19 y/o Zach Boyd of Ft. Worth, TX, who was wearing "I Love NY" boxer shorts and flip flops, rushed to join his fellow troops without paying heed as to how utterly ridiculous, albeit endearing, he looked.

As an active duty US Soldier it is my sad duty to inform you all that this soldier will now become the butt of several jokes from the other members of his unit and probably his battalion.
I dont know him, nor do I know his unit, but it is the reality of the military, he did it right, when an emergency comes grab your gear and get in position, but this guy will forever be remembered for this incident :D
