Helen Thomas Was Right

...and had only said what many of us were feeling but didn't have the courage to say out loud:

The Israelis ought to get the fuck out of Palestine and go back to Eastern Europe and the US. I'll even go one step further and say that I don't want them here in my country. We already have enough Likud lunatics here.

And just speaking the truth has cost her her job.

It's rather revealing and telling about this neverending fellatio going on between Israel the suckees with we the suckers, that our government would condemn Thomas for a relatively benign comment while remaining mum about the even worse forms of right wing lunacy they've accepted and tolerated without protest.

More on this later. But I will say that I never thought I could loathe this administration even moreso than the Bush administration but somehow Robert Gibbs made that possible.

While I can't say I loathe this Administration (I make the distinction that one panders just to get along with everyone while the other was essentially heartless and selfish), I will agree that if the pundits held everyone who made such comments to the same standard that they held Thomas, Fox News would have been gone years ago.

Anon #2.
She said it for me! The blockade of
Gaza is wrong. The West Bank settlements are wrong too.
We've lost a great voice of the American people. Do you think the
administration was "gunning" for her to make a gaffe?

No, Rusty, it looks like you're in the minority on this one... as with everything else.

Antisemite... that's a hoot. Don't you konservative klowns ever tire of that argument?

I'm so amazed by this(not really) she indeed spoke truth to power and here's the really outrageous part the story of real live people being killed by the IDF in International waters is being pretty much ignored in our National media. Sucks to be us indeed even Jon Stewart piled on.

It's simply amazing that the American people continue to put up with the terrorist State of Israel. While AIPAC (the American Israel Public Affairs Committee)and the rest of the Israel lobby is powerful in terms of its organization and influence the American voter also has an awesome weapon in our vote. We need to send a message that we will protect those politicians who have the courage to speak out against this terrorist state and its Gestapo (sounds familiar) like tactics. Better yet we should only support those individuals for public office who are willing to speak out against this terrorist state. Why should the American people continue to allow these terrorist thugs to drag us down with them? What do we get out of the deal except more hatred towards America. The only reason why this terrorist state receives the level of support they get is because of the enormous clout of the Israel lobby and the chicken sh-- politicians who are afraid of offending them. I simply find it preposterous that the entire world continues to stand by and allow an entire people to be subjugated and butchered in the name of some outlandish biblical prophesy - I mean fable. Never again? Yeah right!

There are perfectly common sense strategic reasons to support Israel. We have supported and still support loathesome regimes if it is in our strategic interest to do so. Israel is unpredictable but certainly not loathesome. Realpolitik I think it is called.

Shit, that must've slipped my mind while I was getting fitted for a suicide bomb vest.

Did you remember to murder a Palestinian or Lebanese mother and child today?

As someone noted, it speaks volumes that Israel killed many people on the Flotilla and was not condemned for murder. Yet, Helen is grilled for an opnion that did no one harm.
