(If you leave now, we'll give you an extra pudding cup after dinner.)
This is what my congresswoman Lori Trahan said recently.
"Donald Trump is directly responsible for the attack. His constant lying about the 2020 election inspired those who attempted to prevent us from upholding our duty. He is unfit to serve another second as President of the United States, and he should never be able to hold office again."
You go, girl.
We knew you lost last Tuesday night, so STFU.

This is how vicious of a fascist Trump is- When Kevin McCarthy pleaded with him over the phone during the riots to call off his rabid dogs, they quickly got into a screaming match.
Imagine if Goebbels got on the phone with Hitler during Kristallnacht and pleaded with him to call it off?
The reaction would've been exactly the same.
This was the woman who was shot in the neck and killed by Capitol Police when she tried to crash through a window. Real stable genius, she was.
It doesn't matter whether or not Murkowski leaves the party. What matters is with what party she'll caucus and I think we all know the answer to that question.
Your Karen o' the day and maybe the entire month.
As I've been saying for years, the only thing that'll save this republic is not the intelligence of true patriots but the stupidity of right wing nutters like this guy. To wit:
"The affidavit by a Federal Bureau of Investigations agent relies entirely on his own social media and an interview he did with CNN after the break-in, as well as his past public statements."

Wow,
Jack, just in the nick of time, after five people were killed in DC on
Wednesday and 365,000 died from this biological terrorist's inaction,
four years of threatening public officials and nearly instigating
nuclear war with two nations. Kudos, you right wing corporate cunts.
I've been saying for years that Joe Manchin's a right wing piece of shit who might as well switch parties and caucus with his fellow Republicans. He never did shit for the people of WV either as their governor or senator. Keep in mind, Trump wanted us to have those $2000 checks. Manchin didn't. (Tip o' the tinfoil hat to Constant Reader, CC.)
Good question. Unfortunately, the GA and national GOP didn't think it was worth answering.
You'd think that Scalise, who was shot just three and a half years ago, would be sensitive to such a threat. But these are Republicans we're talking about. Not even this was a teaching moment for them.
Shorter Fox to sponsors: "Just pretend that social media-fueled boycotts don't exist."
The Trumps are a sack of sewer rats that just got thrown in the river. And they'll turn on each other one by one.
The lesson, boys and girls? You can openly threaten the government, kill people then threaten to do it again. But don't you dare threaten the interests of an oil company even peacefully, especially if you're not white.
So, while lawmakers are waxing piously about respecting the will and voice of the people, remember their glacial response to the terrorist attack on Congress. 57% of us want him out now. They couldn't care less.
"Mommy, bail me out so I can overthrow the government!"

"Indeed, the first signs of the predictable Trump backslide are emerging. Twitter, in an idiotic move, let Trump have his account back and sure enough, he's already raving about how many votes he got and how his voters "will not be disrespected or treated unfairly in any way, shape or form!!!" Less than 24 hours after he disingenuously acknowledged "this moment calls for healing and reconciliation," Trump tweeted that he would break with a centuries-old custom and not attend the inauguration."
Marcotte has Trump nailed.
You can always count on corporate scum to find their inner human and to do the right thing when their bottom lines are threatened.
At this point, Trump is the psychotic estranged husband who's decided, "If I can't have her, nobody can!"
"Hitler was right..." Give it up for Congresswoman Eva Braun, ladies and gentlemen.
These lawmakers turned lawbreakers need to be expelled then prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
Lock him up. It's not just me saying this.
Trump just got three other Twitter accounts permanently suspended, including that of his own staffer. He's the world's most pathetic sociopath and social media troll at this point.

"Behind closed doors, he made clear that he would not resign and expressed regret about releasing a video on Thursday committing to a peaceful transition of power and condemning the violence at the Capitol that he had egged on a day before."
I knew it was only a matter of time before he'd regret filming that video.
The trouble is that firing civil service employees is extremely difficult for even the president. That's why Trump had long ago begun embedding them in key positions in the government like terrorist sleeper cells.
I have to say Twitter's interpretation of his last two tweets that got him banned for life are spot-on. Trump whipped his supporters then informed them he wouldn't be at the inauguration so they wouldn't have to worry about hurting him should they decide to attack the ceremony.
I remember asking here right before the riots, "Why do we assume Trump didn't call other election officials?" Here's your answer. He did.

Stop me if this sounds like anyone we know:
“When his own personality rose to a conspicuous height, it almost invariably suffered from the impetuous disregard of surrounding circumstances; when he remembered only himself and became excited with a sense of wrong, he almost invariably forgot the dignity of his station.”
Wow, that was fast. He was just sworn in less than a month ago.
OK, this is huge.
Meanwhile, in White Privilege Nation...
Clarence Thomas' wife Ginni, the sweetest racist in America, supported the fascists who overran DC last Wednesday. She also paid for the buses that got them to the Capitol.

Yeah, funny how Trump didn't mention THAT in his speech last Wednesday in which he boasted, behind a plexiglass shield, that he'd march beside them.
He didn't. He was instead watching them through a window in the protection of the WH.
Offduty cops were among the fascist rioters. Yeah, shocking, I know.

You know when in professional wrestling, the heel hits the good guy with every dirty trick in the book then when the good guy at last gets the upper hand and the bad guy gets on his knees and begs for mercy?
What usually happens?
As Steppenwolf said in Justice League, "For the Unity!"
2 Comments:
McCarthy was shining Trump's shoes up until the Capitol assault. Now he's jumping ship?
The fact that so many Republican officials stayed loyal to Trump even after the election was red meat for his fan base.
Also, Murkowski and Manchin may want to swap parties.
I doubt Murkowski will take after Jeffords and vote with the Democrats most of the time.
