Republicans Are Simply Useless in a Tragedy

 

     I'm just going to say that when you elect a sociopath to the highest office in the land, expect a front row seat to the DSM-V come to life. Trump's late night rant last night showed what a soulless sociopath he truly is. There was a major air disaster over the Potomac at 9 last night that killed 67 people, including at least 14 teenage figure skaters. 

     Trump chose to blame one of the victims, the helicopter pilot, for his own death. He didn't mourn the dead. He chose to assign blame as they were still fishing out the corpses of adults and children out of the Potomac River.

     But the fact is, in the opening hours of his "administration", he'd fired over 100 top officials at the FAA (at Elon Musk's insistence), resulting in at least one controller doing two jobs. It's as if Trump knew he was to blame for this tragedy and cynically tried to get in front of it and evade accountability by passing the blame on to a dead man. This is bottomlessly despicable by any rubric and he needs to be held to task for this, eternally.
