Actual Word Verification From Craigslist
So I can prove I'm not a spambot but I have to prove my racist bona fides? Not a very good tradeoff.
I captured this image then refreshed the page because I refused to type that word.

I wouldn't be surprised to learn that things of this kind are thrown out there once in a while to facilitate some kind of data-mining effort by our government keepers and their chums in the telecom industry.
Then again, it could be just a profoundly sick prank. I wonder what other nuggets of nastiness are coughed up at "random" by word verification programs....
Oh, incidentally, the word verification on this comment was "leptive." I'm pretty sure that one is OK.
Since I suspect I don't get many African American readers, I had a feeling you;d be the first one to chime in, William.
It's obvious that humans have to think of these words and to type them in to the database for randomization but it blows my mind that someone would pick perhaps one of the 2 oe 3 most offensive words in our language as one of them.
Sorry I had to enable word verification of my own today. The spambots are coming back and targeting the same posts as before.
