Pottersville Digest

("Uncanceled" will age about as well as Matt Gaetz.)
You'd think the tear gas in itself would've been an unmistakable enough sign to not enter the Capitol.

"What changed?" Losing the majority. That's what changed.

There's a huge difference between knocking on a door and breaking out windows, attacking, wounding and killing cops to disrupt Congressional business... except if you're an African American in Georgia.

I'm not a huge fan of Kurt Eichenwald but I have to admit, federal photo ID/COVID passports is a damned good idea.

Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Arizona and Nevada? Wow, those are precisely the states that Trump "won" in 2016 and lost in 2020. Sure, it has nothing to do with race, Sean.

     Man, he really misses Twitter.

Hit them where it hurts the most, I say.

I love it when right wingers get triggered.

That's like jumping off the Queen Mary and getting on the Titanic.

SHE's a "trouble maker"? She didn't try to overthrow the government then proudly put her puss on social media bragging about it.

At least you HAVE a home, you traitor. My landlord's trying to evict me for specious reasons but rioting at the Capitol isn't one of them. So fuck you, Nordean.

Add another lawsuit to the growing pile.

"Magnificent legacy"? This would be embarrassing even by North Korean standards.
This is the latest from my Facebook friend,
Sarah Okeson.
This really heightens my sense of security.
Just to let you know, I am not THAT Bob from Massachusetts.

      Meme intermission.

Considering what my slumlord is trying to do to me, this is a great weight off my shoulders.
He threatened to feed her to alligators if she talked.
Wherever Epstein is, I hope he's still screaming.

Why are we still putting right wing douchebags like Numbnuts Navarro on national TV?

Here's your headline o' the day.

While you're still digesting the news that Matt Gaetz (R-My Dad's Living Room) is being investigated by the DOJ for underage sex trafficking, also keep in mind this blast from the past when Gaetz was literally the only person in Congress to vote against an anti human trafficking bill.

Rachel Maddow brilliantly leads up to a sickening peroration that ties Matt Gaetz to the one man crime wave that is Joel Greenberg. You can see the segments here and here.

Then why was he still on the loose? (Tip o' the tinfoil hat to Constant Reader, CC.)

This was impeccably-timed.

They're shamelessly saying the quiet parts out loud, on the radio.

Two Capitol cops are suing Trump. More power to them.

Your Brad o' the day.

Cyber Ninjas?!

"Turning and turning in the widening gyre
     The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold..."

"Documents Show Trump Officials Skirted Rules to Reward Politically Connected and Untested Firms With Huge Pandemic Contracts." Yeah, Trump really drained that swamp, didn't he? And finally...

Gee, what are the odds that just about the only Republican that Obama named to his Cabinet would be ensnared in an international bribery scheme? About 110%
