Congressional Approval Falls to Single Digits for First Time Ever
...to a whopping 9%. Independent voters were even more vicious in this Rasmussen poll: Only 3% of them approve of the job Congress is doing. No doubt, if our valiant legislators ever deign to address these shocking numbers, they'll say something like, "Well, you can't legislate by numbers." And who would that sound like?
Gee, after telcom immunity in the FISA bill, the National Defense Authorization Act that gives Bush dictatorial powers over us, designating Iran's Quds force a terrorist organization, slipping Bush on the sly $400,000,000 to pull all sorts of shady shit in Iran, condemning Moveon.org, funding the Iraq and Afghanistan wars for another year without even nonbinding resolutions, I'm really at a loss to explain this voter backlash. How ungrateful is that of us? I mean, they really moved on Barry Bonds and Spygate, didn't they?
Gee, this wouldn't be involving a sea change in November, would it?
