Priorities

(Image discourtesy of Darlene at Protein Wisdom.)

Thank goodness we bleeding heart liberals aren't alone in assessing the humanitarian crisis going on in Haiti. Below is a list of some of the biggest right wing blogs on the internet. Question:

What do Red State, Michelle Malkin, Protein Wisdom, Hot Air, Powerline and Little Green Footballs (who Michelle the Merciless dropped from her blogroll) have in common?" They're more interested in attacking Martha Coakley and Barack Obama than in reporting what's going on in Haiti.

To their credit, Ace of Spades did post something about the Haitian earthquake (although they didn't post any links to any charity organizations or make an appeal for help) and it elicited these marvelously humanitarian responses:
Frankly, after they refused assistance from that Clinton fella I'm of no mind to help them at all. Let the Chinese have this one.

I inherited this earthquake from the Bush Administration. (from "Barack Obama")

I blame climate change

This still gotta be Bush's fault right boss?

It's unfortunate. I just hope this doesn't mean we'll be bringing more Haitians here on some kind of "compassionate" grounds. The government looks for every excuse to allow foreigners with no skills and an incompatible culture to come here and start collecting welfare.

I hear the jews got out of Haiti just hours before the earthquake hit

I think before aide workers go in to help the surivors that they should take into serious consideration this could be some sort of grand Zombie trap.Lord knows that Zombies are from Haiti and this is a prime recruiting opportunity.

Are they light or dark skinned Negroes?

Whatever our ideological differences, at least we'll always have to tip our tinfoil hats to the right wing blogosphere's infallible sense of class and humanity.

Israeli rescue teams depart for Haiti

Israel on Wednesday dispatched a large delegation of rescue workers to the Republic of Haiti to aid in the aftermath of the massive 7.0 earthquake that rocked the Caribbean nation a day earlier.

Thousands are believed to have died in the earthquake, and many buildings were destroyed, possibly trapping hundreds of live victims.

The Israeli team includes many engineers, medical workers and rescue experts from the IDF Home Front Command who have experience saving victims from toppled buildings.

Most notably, the Home Front Command Search and Rescue team played a major role in the aftermath of the 1999 earthquake that devastated western Turkey. The Israeli team managed to save 12 people from the rubble and the Israeli field hospital treated thousands of people.

In 1998, the same team was dispatched to Nairobi, Kenya after a terrorist bomb leveled the US embassy there. The team found and saved three victims from the ruined building.

I just wonder if the Amerika isn’t footing the bill to send them there for good pr? WOW it must be good to live in your little world.
