Gotham City Digest: Extended edition

     (One arrest at a time.)
KO was literally screaming in Monday's video that Trump's fundraising is just another scam. Yes, the guy who'd laughably ran on the economy is now trying to raise funds to "retire campaign debt" before he can raise more money for a 2024 run.
I called this first, folks. The disgusting thing is I now know exactly how Donald Trump thinks. It's almost like being possessed by a fucking moron.
Maybe he'll be arrested on child porn charges on day three for the trifecta.
It's screamingly obvious by now that the only reason Bill Barr is AG again is because got too fat to chase ambulances.
Yes, polling is now "election interference" in Donnie Dumbo's mind. In a followup tweet, he said he'd won Wisconsin. Uh, that's not what Wisconsin voters said. If the internet had a men's room, Trump's Twitter feed would be the wall over the commode.
This is coming from the asshole who said just a few nights ago that Joe Biden was a hologram who wanted to force us all to drink Starbucks.
Never forget, over 70,000,000 of us voted for four more years of this evil.
Vice President-elect Harris, "the Indian"? Seriously? (Tip o' the tinfoil hat to Constant Reader, CC.)
Pompous Maximus: "There will be a smooth transition to a second Trump administration." Hopefully, there won't be a smooth transition for you to prison.
Rick Wilson made points I'd already made in one of my recent post days ago. Wilson wrote, "As amusing as the thought of seeing a half-naked Trump dragged by his bespurred heels out of the White House residence is, we won’t be granted that particular pleasure. His acute fear of humiliation will prevent our acute delight in seeing it." I wrote on the 7th, "You will leave the Oval Office on January 20th, under your own power, perhaps with more of a Secret Service escort than a security detail not because it's the right, Constitutionally-mandated and gracious thing to do because you've never shown the slightest interest in what is right, what the Constitution says or were ever gracious except toward the tin pot dictators that hold you in thrall. No, you will leave so you can 'own the libs' by denying them the chance to see you dragged out of the White House kicking and screaming like any other White House trespasser. It'll be your fear of humiliation that will force you to do the right thing."
Wilson also wrote, “Instead, he’s spending his last days in power on a public hissy fit to keep the General Services Administration from beginning its legal duties in the transition. That move is Trumpism distilled to its purest form: petty, illegal, and stupid in equal measures.” I wrote, "No, you'll spend your remaining two and a half months in office salting the earth, again to the detriment of national security and the peaceful transition on which it depends. You will spend that time and your rapidly diminishing political capital sending down orders telling your Cabinet-level departments and other entities to not work with the incoming Biden administration. You will pettily not give them the office space they need for the meetings, not allow what few high-ranking, knowledgeable officials that had survived your four year-long vengeful terror campaign brief the Biden transition team."
Sorry, Rick, but you'll have to be a little more Johnny-on-the-Spot.
"Aubrey faces one third-degree felony discharge of a firearm and misdemeanor threat of violence and intoxication."
That's it? Oh, right. Because WHITE.
Just one huge circle jerk of useful idiots. (Another tip o' the tinfoil hat to Constant Reader, CC.)
"For one thing, McConnell implied there could be something shady about the presidential election, but affirmed the legitimacy of down-ballot elections, where Republicans did better than expected. Problem is, these are literally the same ballots. How can the same ballot be legitimate one when it comes to a congressional or Senate race, but a fake in the presidential race?" Amanda Marcotte, Salon.
     Meme intermission.
So Loeffler and Purdue are still humping Trump's leg because, "We need his voters." Here's the problem: Trumpie the Klown lost Georgia, too.

Roberts pointed out, correctly, that the law stood even after Congress lowered the mandate penalty to zero, which the Texas attorneys said was impossible.

"In Georgia, all eight members of Georgia’s 2021 GOP House delegation signed a letter telling the state’s top officials to investigate voter fraud claims before certifying the election. There’s just one problem with that, those 2021 GOP House members aren’t actually House members until the election is certified."
In the various schools of political thought,  Republicans are the ones who ride the short bus.

Great moments on Republican Twitter. Details here.
Uh, yeah. About your whistleblower and hero to whom you've donated $136,000+...?

In other words, all you need is a suspicion that someone's looted something, somewhere to murder them with impunity. All this time we were afraid of turning into the world of 1984. Instead, we're turning into the worlds of Judge Dredd and Robocop.

Oh, this will make him happy.

Apparently, Dean Browning's bizarre tweet yesterday claiming to be a gay black man was just the top of the rabbit hole.

Ralph Nader had this asshole pegged back last August. Among the lengthy list of acts of retribution, we've already seen at least half the things Nader had predicted in the week since the election.

200,000 new cases of coronavirus and 1535 new deaths just yesterday alone and this is what this petty asshole's concerned about.

In Parliament today, BoJo called Trump, "the previous president."

Your Brad o' the Day.

"For Trump’s presidency to have had even a faint chance of succeeding, he needed his allies and fellow travelers to provide reality checks and expressions of disapproval, including occasions of outright revolt. What he mainly got was an echo chamber.”

Happy Veteran's Day, the day when all patriots call military men and their wives voter frauds.

“Trump is trying to keep the MAGA movement going. That gives him a lot of leverage. But what Trump is going to find out is that the minute he leaves the White House, he’ll be like a used car coming off the lot. His value will drop.”

The Federalist is now officially a terrorist organization.

As usual, Digby was in fine form today.

0-8 yet MAGAts believe every word out of his mouth.

Your co-Brad o' the day.

“It’s not like he threatened any students or anything like that. I think he was just all talk.” No, he only threatened to assassinate the president-elect, so what the hell, let him come back as long as he doesn't threaten to hurt my kid.

"Where were you speeding to, sir?"
"On my way to murder Claire McCaskill, officer."
These are the idiots we're afraid of?

Damn and I was looking forward to seeing Pence wearing a Mickey Mouse cap, too.

This is what you get when you vote Republican- Political terrorism. Fox is now stating they're not even sure if GOP state legislators will "allow" Biden electors to cast their votes for the president-elect.

“After the Senate acquitted the president, Mr. Barr in effect took the case away from the Public Integrity Section, sending all Ukraine-related inquiries to the U.S. attorney’s office in Brooklyn, according to six people familiar with the matter.”
He'd also stalled an investigation into Trump's corrupt former Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke. "You need a stronger case," Deputy AG Jeffrey A. Rosen told prosecutors.
My my, what a difference four years makes at Fox.
Maybe he shouldn't have bad-mouthed them behind their back.
"Is this what our country has come to?" Trump screeched today from his Twitter perch. Legally collecting mail-in ballots the day after Election Day? Yes, sadly, this is what we've come to. Have a juice box then take a nap, Donnie Dumbo.
Every Republican still carrying Trump's rancid water and giving oxygen to his conspiracy theories about voter fraud should register as foreign agents for Russia, Iran and North Korea. Because they're succeeding better than those countries' agents. And, finally...

I'm not joking when I say that President-elect Biden needs to have the White House fumigated and deep-cleaned well in advance of assuming office on January 20th. That's because the WH is now a gilded leper colony.
