Help Iran by Spreading the Word

From Iran Map News:
Conf'd Iran Fatemiyeh Hospital Tehran: 30-40 dead as of 11pm; 200 injured. Police taking names of incoming injured.

From an Iranian:
GENERAL STRIKE=Bazaar+banks+OIL indus' wrkrs+BusMetroTaxi+GasPumps+ArmySepah... Ask ur families not 2 go 2 work (Apparently, the rumors of a general strike are on.)

The Tehran Bureau had this to say this morning:
We call on the staff of IRIB to resign immediately and refuse to cooperate with the organ that is directly linked to the Leadership and his illegitimate coup d’etat government. To continue working with IRIB is to be hand-in-hand with the Sepah & Basij in the savage bloodshed they are visiting on the streets of Iran. Your resignation can help cripple the vile lies being fed to the Iranian public.

To IRIB audience — please boycott all products advertised on state television & radio. Do not support their side in the media war.

Also, please spread the word to people who may not have access to the Internet & satellite — inform them that the state media is no different now than it was under the Shah — it misrepresents the reality of events on the ground to the sole benefit of the governing dictator.

This Iranian news website seems to be pretty reputable not to mention addictive and they provide up-to-the-second coverage of what's going on there. Here's a sample:

Iranian authorities have arrested a large number of MKO terrorists who were specifically sent to Iran to stir up even more trouble than they already have. Here's the kicker: They're supported by Uncle Sam.

The police are no better than the rioters and worse, I'd wager. Watch this video. About two thirds of the way through, some uniformed police move in from the left, walk up to cars and smash the windows for no apparent reason.

Oh yeah, no electoral fraud, here, folks. I guess Iran's Guardian Council and Interior Ministry needs to learn how to count because, despite the certified and recertified results, apparently in some cities there were more votes than voters.

I think more credit ought to be given to the Iranian women who have been literally at the vanguard of this now 8 day-long protest/riot/revolution. Consider the case of this teenaged Iranian woman who gave her story to CNN. After being beaten by the police, she tricked the cop by giving him a blank memory card for her camera and kept the one with the pictures. The above picture was one of the ones taken by her.

Finally, I know that we're supporting not Mir Hossein Mousavi as much as his supporters and the abstract ideal of democracy but before we permanently go all St. Patrick over this guy, let's take a trip down Memory Lane then judge with wider-open eyes if this guy is Iran's Barack Obama.

Unfortunately JP, the vid I have posted is not as pleasant as what you have.
Like I said, Iran is going to explode all by itself.
