Since these things are supposed to happen in threes, you have to wonder what will happen next.
Coming on the heels of Dr. George Tiller's murder in Kansas last week, James Wenneker von Brunn, a white supremacist and Holocaust denier in his late 80's, walked into the Holocaust Memorial in Washington DC and opened fire when he was immediately confronted by security guards. In a brief gun battle with the authorities, von Brunn was subdued but not before he killed an African American security guard named Stephen Tyrone Johns, a six year employee at the museum.
Von Brunn is a WW II veteran who was the commander of a PT boat who no doubt must have had some sympathy for the Germans we were fighting. He's already been linked to several racist, white supremacist organizations and once wrote, "Hitler's greatest mistake... was in not gassing the Jews."
Throwing gasoline on the partisan fire is the fact that a post of von Brunn's that had been linked to Free Republic had been taken down within minutes of the shooting.
Update: Don't give up on that Freeper link, yet. Someone just put it back up.
