What's Wrong With This Picture?

Actually, there's nothing wrong with this picture of Al-Qaida in Iraq head Abu Ayyub al-Masri. But there's a whole lot wrong with the stories that accompanied it.

Exhibit A- From the Times Online, May 8th, 2008: "Al-Qaeda in Iraq leader Abu Ayyub al-Masri captured."

Exhibit B- From the Times Online, today: "Head of al-Qaeda in Iraq ‘killed in raid’."

So, either the CIA really did capture this guy almost two years ago then turned him loose to commit more mayhem so we could justify keeping our troops and contractors in Iraq or they were mistaken and finally got him today.

Unless they got that wrong again, too.
