Gotham City Digest

(We don't resort to cheap gimmicks. Buy my new novel!)

Hi, Brian, welcome to the Trump Whipping Boy Club! I'm Ron DeSantis. What kept you?

I'm amazed that a law professor would hold a view such as this and amazed that Newsweek would even entertain a serious thought to publishing this birther bullshit. If Eastman's legal gymnastics held up to scrutiny (that the SCOTUS never once ruled on citizenship based on geography), then he'd have to admit the late John McCain, also a member of the US Senate, likewise would've been ineligible to serve as president because he was born in the Panama Canal Zone.
Look, I'm no fan of hers yet the facts are clear- Kamala Harris was born in Oakland, CA in 1964, ergo is a US citizen, has lived in the US for far longer than 14 years and is 20 years older than the Constitutionally mandated minimum. The fact that Trump, Birther Zero, would latch onto this shows he's scared shitless that Harris is on the presumptive Democratic ticket. Far from being elated that Biden chose her, the administration's running around in circles like the Three Stooges as if Joe threw a hand grenade in the Oval Office. And the silence of the GOP in letting Trump do this will haunt them for many years.

From Weijia Jiang's Twitter account: Trump's USPS is openly admitting they're targeting swing states with slower mail delivery. Pennsylvania, Nevada, and Michigan have been warned they won't get their mail in ballots in time. They're all crucial swing states.

Robert Trump's in the hospital and is described as "very ill."

The Postmaster General has Amazon stock holdings? Wow, surprise, surprise. Strictly a coincidence, I'm sure.

Mar a Lago claims yet another human life.

Republican scum were planning on slowing down the mail as far back as May 15th, the month before Dejoy took over as Postmaster General, according to these leaked documents. They proposed pulling 502 sorting machines and I'll bet dollars to donuts that almost all if not all of those 502 machines were in swing states.

    Your Brad o' the day.

So, the Trump Klown show is screaming about Kamala Harris' ineligibility to be vice president, the GAO (belatedly, after much damage was done by these two) determined that Chad Wolf and Ken Cuccinelli were illegally appointed to their current offices.

Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night nor politically appointed fifth columnists stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds. So sign this petition, please. (Tip o' the tinfoil hat to Constant Reader, CC.)

     Meme intermission.

"'We're not going to give a trillion dollars for state and local,' Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin told CNBC on Monday. 'That's just not a reasonable approach.'"
But giving more to corporations that weren't even stressed IS?

You see, we can't nice things like an impartial media if you hire right wing nut jobs like Josh Hammer.

I honestly never knew how many insane people there were in the US until 2016. So, the people that are hoarsely screaming about people stealing kids are now stealing kids.

Yes, you read that correctly. The USPS is now stealing its own mail boxes to keep the mail from going out. But Montana protested and put a stop to it. Now thank Montana. Thank you, Montana.

Yeah and he's gonna do that by packing auditoriums by less than one third capacity like Tulsa? Let him try. Here's an idea- Let's have the Obamas host a virtual rap and hip hop-themed rally concert the night Donnie Dumbo gives HIS acceptance speech. Let's see how he likes THAT.

How nice of him to stop by to see his sick kid brother on his way to a golf game.

Good. It's about time those corporate douchebags faced some liability for a change. Of course, they're planning to appeal.

It seems with each passing day, the right wing Bulwark is sounding more and more like MoJo & The Nation.

Only Republican scum like Marco "They All Look Alike to Me" Rubio would think a virus that's killed 170,000 Americans in just half a year is a laughing matter.

"Much of the supposed evidence for alien visitation turns out to be exactly like this: striking at first, but it falls apart upon inspection. And perhaps one of the best reasons to doubt the existence of alien ships visiting Earth is the ubiquity of cell phones. If alien UFO sightings were genuine, why haven’t we seen clear and decisive video evidence from a witnesses’ phone?"
I take it Cody Fenwick doesn't spend a lot of time on Youtube.

Define irony: Fox "News" being afraid of its most ultra right wing demographic, one it helped create.

Another Friday night Inspector General firing coming up...

Welcome to another edition of Adderall & Bath Salts Political Theater. In today's episode, New York suddenly turns into a swing state. Next week, so will California and Puerto Rico.

We've been hearing stories like this for years yet nothing ever seems to be done about them. This is exactly what happens when you hire right wing fascists.

What we're witnessing this summer is the destruction of an allegedly human mind in real time.

What Republicans up for reelection are basically saying is, "We're hurting you so we can hurt blue states, so fuck you and vote for me in November!" Which is a tactic I'm sure won't backfire on them at all.

In 2017, the RNC announced 4 national finance chairs: Steve Wynn (accused of sexual misconduct), Elliott Broidy (under investigation), Michael Cohen (guilty & served time) & Louis DeJoy (illegally dismantling the USPS).
Apparently, crime does pay in Trump's administration & the GOP.

Meanwhile, the Pompous Maximii are jet setting around Europe this week and you get to pay for it.

In case you're wondering what and who makes up tRump's rock-hard base of dead end 35 percenters, here's a clue.

The unbearable heaviness of being more Trumpian than Trump. And finally...

One reason why Trump's HHS ordered hospitals to stop sending COVID statistics to the CDC and to stovepipe them straight to them. Catch and Kill, in other words.

I'd love to. How do I buy it without involving Amazon? I don't use Amazon, since they are an evil company and don't deserve my money. YOU deserve my money! I'm very happy to give it to you, but NOT Amazon.

I think it'll work fine. Conservative voters are so insane that when Dear Leader orders them to impoverish themselves, or get Covid and die for the cause, because it will 'pwn the lbz' they eagerly do it. Only the less insane Republicans are just now starting to send out messages saying maybe Don is perhaps getting a little too far out of hand.
