Pottersville Digest: New Year's Super Expanded edition

This is some serious 1984 bullshit and this happened right here in Massachusetts.
     Another right wing fraud exposed.
"'Black History and Black Literature cannot be taught from a "politically-neutral" perspective,' replied Heather Fleming, founder of the Missouri Equity Education Partnership."
I can see where she's coming from. Decades ago, the poet Amiri Baraka (LeRoi Jones) once famously said that according to the New Black Aesthetic, all poetry was inherently political. I think he was primarily thinking of black poetry when he said that. But, yeah, I suppose one can extend that to all poetry.

Of course she did. That's all these maggots have left.
Who gives a fuck what that intellectual flyweight thinks? And what ever happened to these Constitutional Originalists when it comes to Trump? Doesn't it, specifically through the 14th Amendment, bar anyone from holding office for fomenting an insurrection? Yes, yes it does. You don't get the cherry pick the Constitution.
     Meme intermission.

Laura Loomer, ladies and germs. Yeah, THAT'll teach the woke mob. Go for it. 🙄
I'm glad all 122 of these people were rescued but I have to say, this is the most Minnesota story I have ever read.
George, as someone who's from Queens/Long Island, here's some good advice- If you need to ask a bunch of random people on social media to which party you should belong, then perhaps politics isn't a good career choice. Stick to Cameo. At least there, you're wanted & successful.
Trump always was a corporate cunt and always will be. Now he thinks he's going to fool us again. (Tip o' the tinfoil hat to Constant Reader, CC)

His criminal mishandling of top secret classified information, especially as regards nuclear secrets, should alone be grounds for disqualification of him reassuming that office. The SCOTUS should. if they choose to hear this case, factor that in and to simultaneously dismiss out of hand any ridiculous claims of presidential immunity.
Chickens for Col. Sanders and all that.
Yet Biden and Trump have identical 54% unfavorability ratings. We are the stupidest nation on earth. If Hunter Biden's laptop and his taxes are discussions at your kitchen table, then you're too stupid to vote, period.
     Great moments in journalism.

"How dare the Democrat party not let us cheat and tilt the playing field?! We'll appeal!" The very fact that Republicans are always so eager to go to the Supreme Court these days shows right there how crooked and hyper partisan the high court is.
If we were collectively a smarter nation, one not full of disaffected crybabies who whine and pule the minute they don't get their way, Trump would simply have no power. There's a huge difference between Candidate Trump of 2012 and Candidate Trump of 2016. In 2016, we chose to give him that power. Without an angry mob, Trump's just another bleacher bum.
“What happens if he’s indicted at some point?” I take it you don't get out much, lady.
And may 2023 mark your last complete year of freedom, you mango maniac.
Let's see: Inflation and gas prices: Going down. Unemployment: Alltime lows. The "misery index": Never lower. Trump predicted disaster four years ago if Biden was elected then the economy boomed. We need to stop listening to this asshole.

     She's showing concern. Oh, good.
Let's hope that Maine, and Colorado, start a domino effect. I mean, once the Supreme Court weighs in, and if they rule against Trump, they're not going to weigh in again no matter what other state appeals.
I think Trump's legal cases and their outcomes are so obvious, even legal amateurs can see the writing on the wall. The fact he was already found guilty of fraud through summary judgment shows that his guilt is beyond appeal.
"Colorado's 3rd District is not for sale." That's absolutely right. CO-4 is. And it can be bought for more than $3000. And finally...

“As you started to have people resign from the cabinet, there were fewer people that would have voted for it.” Typical feckless Republicans (pardon the tautology). But the person Karl is describing fits John Kelly to a T.

Here's to hoping that plenty of Republicans heed Loomer's advice.
