Open Thread

Sorry I've been unavailable at both here and my home away from home in the New Jersey pine barrens of Brilliant at Breakfast but it's been a hectic week. And Mrs. JP and I have to go in a few minutes to a function across the state so please accept this demotivational poster I've had in the can as a piss-poor substitute for actual political blogging.

Before I go, though, a tip of the tinfoil hat goes to Jill at the aforementioned B@B for putting in a good word for Mrs. JP and me and our always precarious finances. The baleful specter of September has made it tempting to put out another cry for help but that just alienates readers and becomes a tiresome meme. Therefore, it's nice to know we have friends that'll pick us up and pass around the hat even when we're too proud and/or chagrined to do so ourselves.
