Pottersville Digest

More like the Muslim-majority nations in which he wasn't conducting business.
If you know anything about WWII history, you will have read about the sondercommandos. If not, I'll give you a crash course. The sondercomandos were often Jewish trustees of the Nazi death camps. They were treated only slightly better than the other prisoners and were given brief reprieves from the gas chambers.
They were rotated out about every three months or so and were never told they would eventually be gassed. So while they cremated and carted off the bodies of their fellow Jews, they thought they'd be spared from execution if they kept their heads down and worked hard enough.
This is what Stephen Miller would've been if he'd been around 80 years ago. He would've been the perfect sondercommando.

This is why we can't have nice things. These right wing psychos can't even go out in public without making a scene.
The question I have every day is, If Republicans are this fucking stupid, why do we continue to let them run this country into the ground?
Again, Greg Abbott is now officially the stupidest man on the planet.
I've been a political commentator for going on 19 years and it seems every few years, the GOP mutates like some virus and gets more and more pernicious. 19 years ago, it seemed the neocons were the very worst. Then came Trump, then the Freedom Caucus, Marjorie Taylor Greene. Now we're seeing an even more virulent strain than her. So, is it really conspiracy theorizing to predict that we're just one brain seizure away from seeing full-blown Nazism in this country?
“In hindsight, he should have probably let them know he was coming at 9 o’clock at night, yet he made no effort to contact them at all.” Nice job of blaming the victim.
     Lordy, there are tapes.
Trump has bowel movement, produces clone.
     But her emails...
I could see Miller doing this to his fellow Jews seeking asylum from Europe during WW II.
     I love our Governor.
     I don't care if it's self-loathing antisemitism. It's still antisemitism.
When are people going to finally wake up and realize this grifter is just a vaguely humanoid-shaped black hole of need and debt?
"Roughly an hour into the event, Mr. DeSantis finally got around to saying ‘New Hampshire.'”
So, these are the idiots who want to take on NATO, eh?
     Good on him.
I don't know why this shocked me last night when I first heard about it. Trump's been using nuisance lawsuits to silence his detractors for years. And his suits against Michael Cohen, E. Jean Carroll and others is the ultimate form of projection. And finally...
Oh shut up, Eastman, and go chase an ambulance.

Hollywoodland

I'm happy to report that the audiobook version of Hollywoodland is now available on Audible & Amazon. It's narrated by the talented Marnie Sher.

"November 22, 1888. Young cameraman Scott Carson fires two shots. A body falls into the Thames, ending Buffalo Bill’s team’s battle with Jack the Ripper. The ship sails to New York, no one says a word about the killing, and everyone uneasily resumes their lives. Then, on New Year’s Eve, 1899, Carson sees a ghost from his past.

On the Brooklyn Bridge during a fireworks display, he photographs what is unmistakably Jack the Ripper. Terrified, he flees New York City, leaving all his family and friends behind. But the Ripper hasn’t forgotten Carson and his supposed treachery.

And for the next 23 years, the infamous Whitechapel killer stalks Carson, slashing through any human obstacle standing in the way.Against a spectacular historical backdrop, Hollywoodland tracks the Ripper’s progress through the concrete canyons of New York City, Buffalo Bill’s legendary Irma Hotel, the fabled dream factory of Thomas Ince’s Inceville on the Malibu coast, to the battlefields of World War I France, ending with a heart-stopping finale at, yes, the original sign that once read Hollywoodland."

It’s Whispersynch-enabled and promo codes are available upon request at crawman2@yahoo.com.

Pottersville Digest

I don't know what the purpose of this is, either. It's still going to be on the Congressional Record, in newspaper archives and, lastly, living human memory. It's just more worthless money sucks courtesy of the GOP.
Kari Lake: the grift that keeps on taking.
Hey, witch-hunting's hard work, don't you know?
I'm in daily amazement that this nut job hasn't been disbarred, yet. In every picture you see of her, you can almost see the cartoon carbonation going off above her head.
"Clogging up the legislative process with clumsy performance art ought to be an offense severely punishable at election time."
Let's see: Lies, conspiracy theories, petty, puerile behavior, cuts and runs... Yeah, this guy's no Democrat. That's right wing behavior through and through.
Maybe Zelenskyy should cut a deal with him? Uh, wait...

     Well, that was a letdown.
     Cartoon intermission.

"Must be willing to go the extra 4000 meters for the company in a high-pressure work environment. The two dimensional-averse need not apply."
OK, Congresswoman Special Needs, point to this map of Russia and show us where Biden violated it.
Wow, the projection of these people is staggering. Gays and lesbians were among the first people the Nazis sent to the death camps.
I don't see Trump ever copping to any charges, ever. The closest I could see him doing this is him pleading nolo contendre, or no contest, like Agnew did in '73. But I can't even easily imagine him doing that. And I think Jack Smith's case is so strong, that he wouldn't even feel the need to offer him a plea deal to get a conviction.
     The orange badge of courage?

Like the man said, The criminal always returns to the scene of the crime.
He got what he deserved. His clients didn't.
"Arraignment is set for 9:45am Tuesday in the federal criminal case of Walt Nauta, Trump's co-defendant In Miami." And finally...
     What "coup attempt"?
