Open Letter to Dr. Clark Blair, Nazi Principal

     This is the email that I'd sent to the principal of the McFadden School of Excellence, the one that punished an 11 year-old girl for protesting students giving the Nazi salute at the encouragement of their teacher:

"Dr. Clark Blair:

     How does it feel, knowing that your school is a national laughingstock and is much more sympathetic to the Nazi Party than the 11 year-old Gamble child who'd protested re-enactments of the man who'd killed over 6,000,000 Jews? Whether you know it or not, Mr. Gamble's series of posts on Twitter have gone viral and have been linked on Daily Kos and carried by several mainstream media outlets.

     No doubt, being the Nazi-sympathizing rednecks that you are (and those of us who are actually historically literate are quite well aware the KKK was founded in your backwater state in 1865 and had proudly hosted the Scopes Monkey trial in 1925), you'll issue a public statement doubling down on the absurd conviction that the behavior of the child protesting being given the Nazi salute OUTSIDE the classroom, where it was REALLY inappropriate, is much more at fault than the boneheaded teacher who thought it would be a good idea to recreate in disturbing detail the 3rd Reich that plunged the world into a global conflict that claimed tens of millions of lives.

     Because that's what you Nazi-sympathizing right wingers do- When faced with rising vocal criticism of your fascist-loving policies, it's simpler just to double down rather than admit to a fucking mistake. After all, that's what your hero "President" Donald Trump does. Maybe if word of this reaches the links at Mar-a-Lago or Bedminster, he'll make a personal appearance in support of Nazi free speech and declare you and everyone in your faculty 'very fine people.'

     Each day when I awaken, I thank the Powers That Be that my children were not born in your hillbilly state that, save for whiskey distilling, is more backward than pre-Cambrian Upper Volta.
