Kids telling off adults gets you nowhere. Literally making stuff up, like 'my childhood has been stolen' is simply not true. And the sort of untruth she tells is transparent and she doesn't even realise it. Bursting into tears doesn't make your argument any more cogent or accurate.

     Actually, since Marjory Stoneman Douglas, kids have had a great track record telling off adults. Weeks after the Parkland mass shooting that claimed 17 lives, the survivors banded together and gathered before the State House at Tallahassee and demanded changes to Florida's gun laws. Lots of kids had their childhoods stolen and there was, understandably, a great sense of urgency.

     They got them.

     Then Greta Thunberg came along with her lonely vigil outside the Swedish Parliament and within a year amassed a following that resulted in a planetary Strike for Climate demonstration involving 4,000,000 mostly young people in 150 nations and 5000 separate events. Then days later she gave a speech at the UN demanding changes to climate change policies.

     This kind of tut-tutting and snuffling on the part of so-called adults is what helped get us into this mess, in the first place. The fact that intelligent, well-informed and passionate high school-aged kids have to tell off adults is symptomatic that something is very, very wrong in this world. Greta Thunberg, Emma Gonzales and David Hogg are proof that individuals CAN change the world and every generation produces kids like this that are smart enough to see that something is very wrong and that we need to change things now. What the so-called grownups in the room mistake for stridency and alarmism is fear that we have reached the tipping point and not enough is being done to push us back from the brink.

     And it's arrogant douchebags such as Mike Hosking, Laura Ingraham, mentally ill white man Michael Knowles, even more mentally ill white man Donald Trump and every oil, gas and coal executive scumbag who ever slid on a coat of slime down the Beltway to demand deregulation of their filthy industries that claim lives who are the real problem. They're not just refusing to do anything about climate change- They're trying to take the torches from their hands and continue setting the world ablaze. Greta Thunberg is the climate change movement's Joan of Arc. She's stirring up a whirlwind of shit and millions are listening. Reap it, motherfuckers.

     He also took some shots at his own Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern, saying that Thunberg will be another version of her. Well, after the Christchurch mosque mass shootings that claimed 51 lives, Ardern "revel(ed) in rhetoric, held meetings" then managed to ban the sale and ownership of semi automatic and automatic weapons in all New Zealand... in just six days.

     And, yes, on the 7th Day, she rested.

     Meanwhile, douchebag Republicans still wearing their "for sale" tags" that the NRA forgot to take off send "thoughts and prayers" then sneer at the left wing for "politicizing" mass shootings even as they're carried out essentially at the behest of the fat fuck they're rallying around.
     If you won't be part of the solution, you're part of the problem so stay the fuck out of the way while the REAL grownups take over.
