Fox News at its Finest, Part 5: President Osama Edition
Well, we've gone into what the right wing of the blogosphere had to say about Obama's ascendancy to the presidency. Therefore, it's only fitting that Pottersville does a companion piece in a two-fold sense. Namely, a retrospective of what that fine bastion of conservative commentary, Fox "News", had to say about Barack Obama and the future First Family during the election.
When Obama proves himself to be what a vastly more capable president than Bush ever was, it'll be interesting to see how Rupert Murdoch's rat patrol will back away from all their assertions, lies and innuendoes about President Obama.
Uh, yes.
In true Mafia fashion, when going after a man, start with his family...
To witless, there was this astute comparison between the future First Lady and a chimp, courtesy of Hal Turner, good buddy of Fox’s Sean Hannity. And speaking of Sean Hannity…
As in Communist Red????!!!!
(Of course, only a Republican would think that everyone in America makes over $250,000 a year.)
And it's only fitting that the network who would champion an Olympic-class flip-flopper like McCain would then flip within seconds on something that Obama said about the same man:
But, seconds later, Obama was quoted as saying,
August 5th was a very busy day for the so-called religiosos at Fox. Within a span of a few minutes, we were treated to a series of screengrabs designed to portray Obama not as a devout Christian but a heathen Muslim. Don't ask me what the shots of Rev. Wright have to do with Islam, but... (Thanks to Newshounds for the grabs.)
And while we're on the subject of Fox pimping nonfiction:
Fox’s Houston affiliate was obviously alarmed by a Che Guevara poster at an Obama campaign office, because Obama was supposed to pay attention to the décor of every one of his hundreds of campaign offices.
Later, Obama clarified that his uncle was at the liberation of Buchenwald, another Nazi death camp. No word, yet, on what Fox thinks about the Bush family profiting off slave labor at Auschwitz.
