Labor Day Parade
What follows is a little photoset of the Labor Day Parade today in Marlborough, Massachusetts.
Here's a shot of lame duck Senator Scott Brown. His little entourage of volunteers was just that: Little, numbering maybe a couple of dozen.
This is just part of Elizabeth Warren's delegation. It took up almost all of Main Street and everywhere she went, she brought a traveling roar with her when they saw her, including yours truly, as opposed to the polite smattering of applause Brown got. As I said at the time, I think we know who's gonna win that election.
Here's the lady herself. To be fair, she wasn't universally loved. There were a couple of semi-sober right wingers standing behind me who booed her and every Democrat as they held up their little Scott Brown bumper stickers.
We had Native Americans playing music.
The famous Clydesdales were there and each one looked as if it was about 100 hands high. Gorgeous animals.
On the other side of the zoological spectrum, we had puppies...
...and more puppies!
...as well as a barely full-grown dawg with dreads, aka my son Adam. I would've gotten a shot of my Congresswoman, Niki Tsongas, but my other son Jake deliberately spoiled the shot and she and her husband, after waiting for me for a moment, moved on. Thanks, son.
And what parade would be complete without the Shriners and their little cars? (This year they also had trucks and little fire engines.)
And long before the Shriners weaved past us, my friend Karen was feeling no pain. In fact, neither of us were.
All in all, a pretty typical Labor Day parade but when the weather's perfect, as it was today, parades are always fun and a good time was had by all.

Oh man, Adam is cute!
He gets his looks from his old lady, obviously. But thanks.
