From faithful reader CC. My response is in italics. I refuse to link to the Puff Ho so I won't.
And Sanders gets a ton of his vitriol.
"Despite having begrudgingly supported Clinton following his primary defeat, both at the Democratic National Convention and on the campaign trail through November..."
If Sanders gave begrudging support for Clinton after July, he wouldn't have disappointed so many of his supporters.
These mainstream Dems are what's wrong with the Democratic Party. Instead of investigating allegations of Republican voter suppression and even looking in the mirror, they choose to channel their energies to blaming the weaker targets, even though some of those targets went to bat for them.
If Clinton really deserves to be president, why haven't any of these pundits urged her to contest the results like a motherf***er? A Republican in a similar situation would have done that.

In this case, your context will suffice. I
absolutely refuse to go the Puff Ho unless someone disguises a link to it on
Twitter and I go there accidentally. Barb and I used to be active there until
someone made the stupendously idiotic decision to force people to get FB
accounts just so they could comment. Then there was the plantation style of journalism
there while Arianna raked in the advertising dough, then there was her selling
out to AOL to the tune of $320 m. If you haven’t already noticed, I never link
to them nor do I blogroll them.
As usual, you and I see eye to eye about
these Democrats who seem possessed of less self-awareness than the typically
clueless Republicans, who are infamously averse to any kind of introspection.
You’d think they’d get a clue after the national repudiation of Clinton and the
corrupt party principles. But no, of course not.
Clinton had the support of party
establishmentarians. She (illegally) had the support of the DNC. She had the
support of the crooked MSM. She had the support of Wall Street. She had the
support of women. She had the support of blacks. She had the support of
Hispanics. She had the support of Hollywood limousine liberals. She had the
support of K Street and its lobbyists.
And STILL, she lost to the most massively
unpopular Republican presidential candidate of all time, a man who lost the
popular vote, a man who, until recently, was going to be on trial for child molestation
charges.
So what does the Democratic establishment
do? Re-elect Botox Betty as the House Minority Leader then go all full-tilt,
triple Wall Street and elected Chuck Schumer as their Senate Minority Leader,
All this after installing Donna Brazile as the interim head of the DNC after
its last leader, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, was essentially stripped of
everything but her gavel duties at the convention.
The Democratic Party has nothing for me,
any more. They never did. They reached Warren and Sanders and they gave her all
the support they could even at the expense of their own political capital and
credibility. It’s not their fault Clinton couldn’t outrun her own corruption and
the zombies of those she’d had killed.
That’s why, as with 51% of Massachusetts
voters, I’m switching my party affiliation. Those crooked cunts never did a
thing for me or people like me, nothing in any meaningful, longterm capacity,
anyway. Not in my generation or yours. Just as the Teamsters made the mistake
of getting into bed with the mob, so the Democrats made the mistake of crawling
into bed with Wall Street, billionaires and lobbyists. They’ll never learn the
errors of their ways because they’re no longer the smartest guys in the room.
And things won’t change until the present party leadership dies off.
I’d like to think the stink and bad taste
of this election will linger in our noses and mouths for many years to come and
when these assholes die or retire, we’ll still have the presence of mind to
ride with the tide of history and start reinventing or replacing the current
culture of corruption, as Pelosi had once ironically referred to the
Republicans, within the “Democratic” Party.
Stranger Together should've been the party's motto this year.

Same. I was on there commenting, every single day. What was even more disturbing was the Orwellian way they went about it. Yes, they gave warning that they were going to switch, but after they did, there was NOTHING about the requirement of being a Facebook user. Nothing on the login page, nothing in the FAQ. Nowhere did it ever say, "You must have a Facebook account to write comments on Puffing Ho."
SInce then I've put Facebook on my web browser's adblocker list, so I don't even see the comments section anymore. No point in reading them if I'm not allowed to reply because I won't give away my deepest secrets to Saint Zuckerborg for him to sell to the highest bidder.

I've been saying for a long, long time that the Democratic Leadership sees it's job as demoralizing the voting base every chance they get to make sure the GOP wins. There was an article, maybe on Puff Ho, 'Is Chuck Shumer the savior of the Democratic Party?' Fuck no! He's another part of Lose At All Costs cabal of the Serious Democrats.
What did they do when Obama got elected the first time? Attack Howard Dean and kill his 50-state strategy to make sure the Dems lost ground in order to help the GOP win even more. The Democrats are not stupid. They know that to win, they need to be just like Bernie: on the side of regular Americans. When they go left, they win - big, beating the GOP by margins. But they don't because the Dem's job is to lose. Why else would they have backed Hillary?
Lest we forget, Dean came out against Sanders during the Dem primaries.
He became one of them.

Oh, I remember. But I generally try to restrict my posts to 1500 words or less. There's not enough room to list all the "Democratic" traitors, sycophants, hangerson, office-seekers, imposters and assclowns all in one 1500 word post unless I merely list their names without context.
Hey, maybe that's what we should do. Start collecting donations for a Hillary 11/8/16 Memorial where we can list the names of all those who'd supported her financially and otherwise in her 9/11 of a campaign. We can then hire a sculptor to design it in the shape of the Hindenburg or the Titanic just before it sank.
Even better, we can list all those names in Cyrillic and invite Putin every year on 11/8 to solemnly lay down a small vial of crocodile tears.
What do you say, guys?
Clinton's big-time donors don't need a memorial and neither does she. They'll continue to live quite well under a Trump presidency.
A memorial also won't do much for Clinton's supporters of more ordinary means. What they need is the Democrats to fight for them, as in not letting Social Security and Medicare/Medicaid be cut or eliminated.
Should we hold our breaths for the Democrats to start acting?
But, if we're going to erect a memorial for Clinton, I propose the following:

That's how she and her fellow mainstream Dems have regarded their base over the last quarter century.
