Pottersville Digest

(Welcome to Deathapalooza 2021.)

Another high-ranking Trump official is about to roll over on the fat man.

"Much of Puerto Rico lost power after a fire at an electrical substation caused a massive blackout just days after the private U.S. and Canadian company LUMA Energy formally took over management of the island's electric grid from the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority..."
If this sounds familiar, it should. The same thing's happening in Texas and their privatized power grid.

All the Big Five publishing houses denied offering Trump a book deal because they just don't want the baggage.
It's not wingnut welfare because he once ran Bubba's Boom Boom fireworks stand.
Jon Stewart wasted no time on Stephen Colbert's show in blaming the coronavirus on science.
     Man, talk about white entitlement.
Right winger or no, Tim Miller of The Bulwark is right when he says. ""Susan Collins' amendment to this is just trash. It would allow Kevin McCarthy to control the report itself and who the staff is on the report, and so not only is Donna right it won't bring on ten more people, it would substantive make the investigation worse."
It would be like putting 10 al Qaeda terrorists on the 9/11 Commission and letting them advance their version of events.

Corporate ass-covering? Yes, absolutely. But Parler warned the FBI over 50 times about acts of violence being planned on January 6th on their platform. What did the FBI do with that information? We still don't know but obviously, many of those threats were carried out.
Reality Winner finally got out of prison and moved into a halfway house. All that remains to be done is for Biden to pardon her and of course, he won't.
     Your Karen o' the day.
I loves me some Charlie Pierce.
Chairman Adam Schiff: "Donald Trump had his own enemies list, which included members of the media, elected officials and congressional staff. But while Nixon’s list was held in private, Trump was proud to declare his enemies on Twitter, at rallies and during interviews. And Trump made no secret of his demand that the Justice Department investigate his opponents, openly demanding his attorneys general go after any number of people. Including — quite frequently — me."
Here's your analog to the Justice League.
Fuck You, Mitch. Just... fuck you. (Tip o' the tinfoil hat to Constant Reader, CC.)

Paul Gosar is trying to make the rioters the victims while vilifying the police. So Ruben Gallego released this picture from their POV.

     MAGA: Make Aryans grift again.

     Meme intermission.

ABC News’ Rachel Scott is my new heroine.
This is how terrified Republican scum are of the facts about January 6th coming out.
What Ivory Hecker did is kind of like blowing up your house over roaches that don't exist.
On Steve Bannon's podcast. since he has a larger viewership than Trevor Noah?
"It is significant that the United States asked and got the agreement from Putin that he would come first to the meeting, would not hold up the whole affair, would not keep President Biden waiting, that there would be separate news conferences." -CNN.

He tried to overthrow the government because he didn't want to wear a mask?!
Sometimes the headline just says it all.
That was no slip of the tongue. Trump DID betray us in Helsinki years ago.

Want to know what Republicans like Joe Manchin REALLY think about filibuster reform? You have to go to the leaked tapes.

Clyde, you might recall, is the "January 6th was just a tour" guy. He refused to shake Officer Fanone's hand. Back the blue, my ass.

Nearly each and every day of my life, I am amazed at the products of fetal alcohol syndrome that are allowed to join police departments, especially in the south.

Trump to continue acting like the president he never was when he visits Texas on June 30.

So, did he think "mass murderer" was a viable career path? And finally...

At this point, I'm surprised that Gym Jordan didn't mention the Jewish space lasers.
