The Republican Party's Splendiferously Shameless Belly Flop Into the Moral Mudpit of the Inhuman Psyche

(By American Zen's Mike Flannigan, on loan from Ari)
So, two days ago, the Daily Beast, in what apparently was the scoop of the month if not the 2022 election cycle, revealed through an apparently solid, reliable source that "pro-lifer" Herschel Walker apparently paid for an abortion back in 2009. That source, one of Walker's countless girlfriends, literally brought the receipts. Among them were the invoice for the $575 procedure from the abortion clinic, a cancelled check signed of course by Walker for $700 plus a Get Well card.

It's still unclear whether the decision to abort was mutual. But it's reasonable for one to assume that if Walker fought the decision tooth and nail, he wouldn't have cut her the check for more than the procedure cost to underwrite the expenses and he would've been even less likely to write her a Get Well card that also featured his signature.
That same Daily Beast had been following Walker's candidacy since he threw his football helmet in the ring August last year. As recently as this past August, the Beast caught up to Walker and asked if he'd ever subsidized an abortion and he flatly said No. Herschel Walker, a guy who, according to his own campaign staff, evades and runs away from the truth more nimbly and adroitly than he had linemen, linebackers and safeties, is either lying or he has a more serious case of CTE than we'd suspected.
But, as much of a bombshell as the Daily Beast's article was, it was quickly followed up and almost swallowed by a few social media posts by his son, Christian. This included a furious video in which he calls his father a liar and revealed that he and his family had to move six times in six months because of Walker's constant threats. For the Georgia state and national GOP, it was the dreaded other shoe that finally dropped five weeks before the midterms.
If they were that nervous over Christian Walker, they must've known the kid would have the goods on him, meaning the GOP knew how flawed Herschel was yet had supported and continues to support him. Note they're not pushing back against the allegation that they had to move six times in six months because of his constant threats.
Herschel Walker has essentially thrown his kid under the bus and calling him a liar just in the act of denying the allegations that, as far as the abortion was concerned, is backed up by receipts. And, providing a perfect segue into the thrust of this article, it ought to be mentioned that Christian Walker, who is gay, worked for his father's campaign until his incendiary social media posts before he rage-quit his unofficial position as an advisor.
Yes, the kid knew all along that his father was a liar and a cheat but worked for his campaign anyway while delighting in trying to "own the libs". And the state and national GOP also knew that Walker was a lying piece of a shit and supported and bankrolled him, anyway. Walker pere is, of course, denying everything and even suggested on Fox Walker fils is a tool of the left, which is laughable considering the kid seems to hate the left even more than he does the old man.
And, predictably, the GOP did what the GOP does best and attacked the kid.
Therefore, my point is, the Republican Party (hereafter referred to as the NSDAP 2.0), through their support for Herschel Walker, a moral palsy who has been betrayed in pitilessly and starkly unambiguous terms, as having willingly ditched whatever moral compass it ever had (if I was an audacious wag, I'd say Trump took that with him, too, to Mar a Lago).

Weird Scenes Inside the Mud Pit
Just yesterday, a bunch of god bags got together and feted Herschel Walker at a megachurch in Atlanta that are more common there than McDonald's and fire hydrants combined. The press was barred from it, of course, and consisted of the usual laying on of hands, lest Herschel the Moral Leper ascend during the Rapture before he wins the Senate election. Ralph Reed, Godbag Zero, was somehow allowed to keep CNN from filming.
Not to be outdone, former NRA mouthpiece Dana Loesch, who was a pit bull junk yard dog in a recent former life, decided to pile on and, rather than deny the allegations as Walker has, had said, "I don’t care if Herschel Walker paid to abort endangered baby eagles. I want control of the Senate!" She also called the woman who'd spoken to the Daily Beast "a skank". Yes, the projection is strong with that one.
At that moment, Reed and Loesch lay bare their mind-numbingly simple agenda: To win that senate seat at all costs and to hell with our moral code, considering they have one, to hell with hypocrisy and to hell with the aborted fetus from 2009 that they'd otherwise be crying crocodile tears over. This is the point in which they belly flop into the mud pit and spatter the onlookers. Y'all were supposed to bring the ponchos!
The Republican Party has already progressed past the mere denialism to which Walker is still pathetically clinging and are just going for broke- We don't care about our man's moral putrescence because we're just as morally putrid. Winning is everything. Check your everlasting immortal soul at the canvas tent. We'll negotiate the terms with St. Peter later.
One of two ironies is, Georgia and national Republicans are acting as if control of the Senate hinges on this one race. It does not. Democrats need to merely win one extra seat to claim a clear majority in the upper chamber. This is not 2020 again, in which Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff both had to win in order to give Democrats back control of the upper chamber. If John Fetterman prevails over the incredibly unpleasant lawn gnome Dr. Oz (and virtually every poll has the Lt. Gov. ahead), or if any of the other Democratic candidates win their races while holding on to theirs, it's game over.
The other irony, of course, is that these evangelicals are pushing Walker as if he's the Second Coming because they want to displace the Rev. Raphael Warnock, one of their own, or so you would think. And running an idiot like Herschel Walker, a black man, is part and parcel of the GOP strategy across the country. If a black Democrat is running, run a black Republican. If a Democratic Latina is running, run a Republican Latina.
Well, yes, they're people of color, but they're the right kind. They think like us white people. But the fig leaf they try to use to hide their passive racism always falls off, showing the muddy genitals beneath. And, frankly, they're pimping for a man who acts like the stereotype of the inner city black man they otherwise rag on whenever it suits them.
