Also, Walker is pushing for the public funding of a new stadium for the Milwaukee Bucks after slashing funding for the University of Wisconsin. This despite the current stadium being less than 30 years old.

Even though most Wisconsin residents oppose publicly funding the stadium, Walker and company (including some Democrats, to their shame) have gone ahead with it.

As expected, Walker's supporters have issued the typical excuses: "UW is richer than it makes itself out to be," "UW faculty only poison their students with liberal drivel," "Wisconsin has wasted a lot of taxpayers' money already and this won't make a difference," etc.

I bet you if Walker were to run for Governor of Wisconsin again right now, he'd be re-elected even though many of those who would vote for him have already been hurt by his policies. But, as long as the unions and government workers take it on the chin, they're happy.

Sometimes people deserve the government they get.
