There's such a thing as legal precedent - it's called stare decisis. However, the judgment in this case in KC cannot be used strictly as a template in Trump's case, and that especially goes for the sentencing phase in the Kansas City case. While the circumstances are, admittedly, eerily similar, they're not identical.
And while this analyst got what she deserved, it doesn't mean Trump will be sentenced to less, more or the same time as the FBI agent. There's a vast difference between an FBI analyst and a former president. One creates a much greater risk to national security because one has to assume Trump would have direct access to bad actors such as spies or world leaders who would gladly use those documents to nefarious ends. If anything, the difference in the defendants should demand Trump get a harsher sentence.
Witch hunts. Sham hearings. Hysterics. Lies. This is all these assholes have to offer. This is the entirety of their agenda. It was never about inflation, jobs, climate change, education or anything of importance. This 118th Congress, for the Republicans, is all about grievance and petty revenge over nothing. It's to serve not 330,000,000 Americans but one.
