Shorter Twitter
"We demand to be bought out by the rich, mercurial asshole who's tanking our share price."
Which, if you didn't already suspect as much, proves not just the sociopathic greed of corporate executives but also their stunning stupidity.
I don't know if Musk is being disingenuous about his so-called concern over troll and bot accounts on Twitter, which I think is a much bigger problem than Twitter's letting on. After all, when he had his account up and running, Trump supposedly had his following up to 88.6 million followers.
Yet, every few months they'd have to cull his following by tens of millions. Yet, every time, weeks later, Trump would have them replaced. When I was on the platform, sometimes I'd poke around Trump's new "followers" and would quickly discover, every time, that at least half of the "accounts" didn't have avatars or real followings of their own. In other words, they were bot accounts that Trump would buy by the tens of thousands because we all know how obsessed Trump is about the size of meaningless numbers.
So, yes, Twitter has a real bot problem and there are countless people out there making shit wages creating these fake accounts for assholes who get rich selling them to pathetic losers like Donald Trump.
But I seriously doubt that Musk is so concerned about these bot accounts, especially when it looks as if he hasn't taken many if any pains to cull his own herd.
The bottom line is it's always a good day when some fucking asshole who's worth over $200,000,000,000 cannot or will not buy one of the two most influential social media corporations on the planet and therefore cannot do as vowed- Reinstating the most dangerous sociopath on Earth since Hitler just in time for the next two elections.
