Gotham City Digest

(And they wouldn't be able to identify you afterward.)

I guarantee you if the colors were reversed, this "church group" wouldn't be supporting this KKK version of the Smith Brothers.

Remember this eugenics-loving asshole? He got fired from his position as city commissioner, now he's whining that we're comparing him to the Nazis from whom he's obviously taken inspiration.

The last great 50's rock 'n' roll icon has passed away. RIP Little Richard.

As long as we're zipping down Memory Lane, remember this other asshole? Damien Patton once ran a tech firm until he was outed as having been involved with a synagogue drive-by shooting nearly 30 years ago. This is why having a free and independent 4th & 5th estates is so vital.
Now out of a job, Patton announced plans to start a ZZ Top tribute band.

Jailbird Jim Bakker's community was supposed to be apocalypse-proof.
Coronavirus successfully took up the challenge.

The coronavirus has stalked Trump and has insinuated its way into his beloved Mar a Lago and now the White House. Maybe COVID-19 is saving the best for last.

Again, something a totally innocent guy would do.

Uncle Tom tries to convince black voters he's not an Uncle Tom.

Only a right winger would think up Orwellian shit like this.

     Meme intermission.

Roberts just rejected the probe, saying there was "no probable cause." This is exactly how and why Justice Kennedy retired to make room for Kavanaugh.

The Trump administration has no other plan to counter the economic devastation this virus has wrought aside from payroll tax cuts. Republicans are so fucking stupid, they think even a pandemic can be fixed with tax cuts. After all, as a Trump economic advisor told Fox yesterday, there is no Plan B.

Michael Flynn's not out of the woods, yet. He still has to get past the judge reviewing Barr’s motion to dismiss. And since Flynn had already pled guilty, twice, the judge may not be so quick to rubber-stamp this extremely suspicious motion to dismiss.

"If a Democrat held the presidency, managed the pandemic as well as South Korea has and a few hundred Americans had died, Republicans would be united in calling for heads to roll, and Fox News and the rest of the conservative media would be hammering that epidemiological analysis home every hour. Meanwhile, House Democrats aren’t even holding hearings on this epic and deadly disaster."
He's right. The party that screamed for years about four dead Americans in Benghazi never blamed the negligent Bush for nearly 3000 dead after 9/11 and 1800 more after Katrina and never once called Trump on the 80,000 dead Americans during this pandemic. You'd think Democrats would be screaming about this during an election year, if for no other reason. But apparently the spineless, crooked Democrat party can't get the words out past their masks.

"The decision to shelve detailed advice from the nation’s top disease control experts for reopening communities during the coronavirus pandemic came from the highest levels of the White House, according to internal government emails obtained by The Associated Press.
The files also show that after the AP reported Thursday that the guidance document had been buried, the Trump administration ordered key parts of it to be fast-tracked for approval."
Does it actually surprise anyone anymore that this administration has to be publicly shamed into doing the right thing and that sometimes even THAT doesn't work?

     Challenge accepted, Mizz Lindsey.

A little truth, held hostage for 73 years, finally slips out and escapes to freedom: "I loved my mom and she loved me, which isn't hard — which is, I must tell you, probably not easy to do. But she was so good to me. She was so good. I couldn't do any wrong, which is a big problem. Maybe that's why I ended up the way I ended up, I don't know."
He also bragged that we built up our military. And finally...

I think we may have found Trump's next Attorney General. This shyster who once briefly represented the McMichaels was the one who'd leaked the video to the press because he actually thought it would clear his clients before they were even arrested, which would essentially be an attempt to try a case in the court of public opinion before it even was a case. I'd be somewhat surprised if this asshole wasn't suspended by the State Bar Of Georgia.
The last time I heard an attorney being this stupid was the time in 1973 when Fred Thompson, then the legal counsel for Sen. Howard Baker, insisted that the Watergate Tapes be released by the White House because he believed they would exonerate Nixon. It led to his downfall, prompting Nixon to say of Thompson that he was "dumb as hell."
