Midterm Election Live-Blogging

Right about now, Trump's measuring the drapes for his prison cell.

First, in one of the first right wing casualties tonight, Kim Davis lost to Elwood Caudill Jr  for the Rowan County, KY clerkship spot. Maybe Davis should've gotten all her ex husbands to vote for her.

In VA-10, a district Hillary easily won in 2016, there was a flip to the Democrats when Jennifer Wexton beat GOP incumbent Barbara Comstock by at least 10 points. Maybe Comstock shouldn't have run under the same name as the postal service's most notorious censor.

This was no surprise. The only surprise was how quickly this holdover confederate traitor went down in flames. Like seconds-after-the-polls-closed quickly. And against a boring milksop like Tim Kaine.

Bernie Sanders won in Vermont, natch. It was as if he ran unopposed.

Guam now has its first female Governor ever in the first flip of the night. May she prove a harbinger to come for Stacey Abrams in Georgia.

Elizabeth Warren's doing a warpath over her Republican opponent. Maybe Trump shouldn't have called her Pocahontas so often.

With 17% of precincts reporting, Brian Kemp (R-KKK) is supposedly beating Stacey Abrams by about 64% to 36.5%. But with the fucking shenanigans going on in Georgia, who knows what's real and what's not?

With 79% reporting, Ron DeSantis is ahead of Andrew Gillum in the Gocernor's race by one percentage point, 49.9% to 48.9%.

In the early going (2% of precincts reporting), Beto is beating the Canadian upstart Ted Cruz 50.1% to 49.3%.

Granted, less than 1% of the precincts have reported in NY-14 but so far, Ocasio-Cortez has over 90% of the vote. The incumbent Joe Crowley? A miserable 2.2%. That's what happens when you spitefully remain on the ballot as a write-in candidate and allow yourself to be used as a spoiler to split the Dem vote and give the Republican a shot at taking your seat. Guess what, Joe? It ain't working because you're about to go down in flames worse than any incumbent running tonight, you piece of shit. (Addendum- Ocasio Cortez now has 79.7% of the vote with 6% reporting/

With 58% of precincts reporting, it looks like Democrat Joe Donnelly lost his seat in Indiana to some guy named Braun. Fox and NBC have already called it for Braun. What the fuck is the matter with Indiana?

With 93% of precincts reporting in Florida, Andrew Gillum's losing to Klansman Ron DeSantis by 1.2%. Really, Florida? Are you that fucking racist?

Stacey Abrams is still hanging tough with 34% of precincts reporting but she's still losing by 11.4 to the vote-purger Kemp.

With 12% of precincts reporting in Texas, Ted Cruz pulled ahead of Beto by 0.7% of a point.

The NY Times predicts there will be a 95% chance of Dems taking back the House. The Senate's gonna be an uphill battle.

The 28 year-old Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez just made history by becoming the youngest woman ever elected to Congress. She beat everyone by almost 64%.

The Repubs are about to flip another seat as Heitkamp is getting her neoliberal ass handed back to her in ND. She's down by almost 20% with 40% of precincts reporting.

With 98% reporting in Florida, Gillum's still hanging tough and is down by just 1% to DiSantes. It may come down to absentee ballots.

Looks as if the Klan still reigns supreme in Georgia as Brian Kemp is still ahead of Stacey Abrams by 10.2% with 52% of precincts reporting. But God only knows how many black people were kept from voting. Kemp will always have that purge hanging over his pointy Klan cap.

In my home state of Massachusetts, Charlie fucking Baker will be our Governor for the next four fucking years. Hooray. He's crushing Jay Gonzales by almost 37 points with 34% reporting.

Beto's slipping big time in Texas. with 32% reporting, SharTed Cruz widened his lead to 2.8% and many of the non-reporting precincts are in GOP territory.

Iowa's polls closed at 10 PM so only 1% of polls have reported but so far Steve King (R-Fatherland) is already losing by 4% to J.D. Scholten. This is one of the best pieces of news I've seen tonight.

With 33% reporting, Mitt fucking Romney is the newest Senator from Kolob. Donald Trump's already unzipping his pants in anticipation.

Proving that Utah, Florida and Texas don't have the market cornered on bat guano-brained voters, Martha McSally is leading Kyrsten Sinema by 0.7% with 7% reporting in Arizona.

With 99% of precincts reporting in Florida, it looks as if Bill Nelson just edged out Skeletor by 0.8%. Another Trump pet that got put down.

Bob Menendez easily won re-election out of NJ by nine and a half points.

SharTed Cruz (R-Zodiac)has widened his lead over Beto to 2.9% with just 61% reporting.

Donna Shalala and Debbie Mucarsel-Powell had won their seats early. We hoped for a fast and brutal Blue Wave that would take the House early in the night but it hasn't happened yet. It's only a matter of time, though.

Another bit of great news: Kris Kobach is losing big to Laura Kelly in Kansas' gubernatorial race, 48.9% to 42.3% with 82% reporting, proving not all hope is lost for Kansas, after all.

Republicans lost another House seat, this one in KS-3 to Sharice Davids, who beat Kevin Yoder 53.6% to 44%, She becomes the first Naticve American woman to serve in Congress, the first openly lesbian member of the House and the second one ever after Tammy Baldwin. Congrats, Sharice. Now kick Trump's balls into his throat.

Correction: Sharice Davids is one of the first Native American to serve in Congress: Deb Haaland also won her race in New Mexico-1. Congrats to you, too, Ms. Haaland.

Steve King (R-Auschwitz) has pulled to within one tenth of a point (78 votes) of J.D. Scholten with 67% reporting, proving you should never underestimate the jackboot vote.

And Gavin Newsome is the new Governor of California. I'm g.oing to bed, folks. I'm all stressed out. Either Mike or I'll analyze the final results tomorrow. Good night
